Nepal Reacts: People Share What They Think About Nepal Idol Judges

Nepal Idol is one of the biggest things to have ever happened to the Nepali television scene. The excitement level is pretty high in not only the singing talents for whom this might be the platform they have been looking for; but also the people who are just happy that they have something interesting to watch on TV. But well; where there’s appreciation, there’s criticism as well. So quite obviously, a lot of people have quite a lot of things, negative things to be more particular, to say. Some people are having a difficult time trying to understand the fact that ‘Idol’ is an international franchise and this show is an official Nepali version as all they have been saying is, “Thyakkai copy garechha” (they’ve copied everything).

And for some others, it’s the judgement of Nhyoo Bajracharya, Kali Prasad Baskota and/or Indira Joshi that they cannot agree with. And well, that doesn’t come as a surprise to us. Take any show for example and their judges, it would never happen that all the viewers would agree to their decisions. Either it’s Nepal Idol, Nepali Tara, Miss Nepal, some dance competition, an award show or just any contest that has a jury to decide the winner; will always receive some criticism, even if the judgement made is the most accurate and fair one there could be. Every single person has their different choices and tastes; which should be respected. But it’s horrible that the judges of Nepal Idol are not only being criticized but even abused on social media; which is not cool, NOT COOL AT ALL.

Believe us; more than you and us, it’s them, the judges who want the most talented person to win the competition. And there are reasons why they have been selected to be the judges of the biggest singing realtiy television show.

Anyway, that’s what we think about the show and the judges. Let’s see what other viewers have to say. The team of Channel Arbitrary went around Kathmandu and asked the people about the same for their latest episode of Nepal Reacts. Watch.

Do not forget to comment what you think of the judges and the show.
