Monkey Temple Drop Their Rendition Of X-Marika’s ‘Hamro Nepal’

Every band or artist has that one signature song that they are most closely identified with. For X-Marika, it is ‘Hamro Nepal’. The band hasn’t been very active lately, but they definitely have given us one of the most beautiful patriotic songs that will always remain close to our hearts.

Rock band, Monkey Temple, have recently dropped their rendition of the 1997 song and they surely have done justice to it. The vocal of the song was recorded at La Fonderie in Switzerland where the frontman of the band Sareen Deoja is currently based; and tabla and madal were recorded in the United States. The song mixed and mastered by Bishal Rai has Deoja on vocals, Dipesh Shrestha on guitars, Pratap Risal on drums, Jenis Maharjan on bass, and Pratik Suwal Singh on madal.

The creative and quite interesting music video has the clips of the fans from around the world who had sent their videos to the band for this particular music video. Compiled and edited by Sandeep Tuladhar, it looks pretty good. Watch it here and let us know what do you think of it.
