Talent management firms have been integral part of the major film industries around the world since decades but it’s quite a new concept in the Nepali film industry. Some individuals in the industry do have their managers for quite some years now but there are differences between having a manger and getting handled by an agency; the most basic ones being, an agency is licensed by the state, often has more contacts which simply means more scope of work for its clients, has a physical office and is more capable when it comes to legal processes. On the other hand, this might not be the case with a personal manager.

Now coming back to the talent management firm that was launched by Party Nepal; it’s going to be called Party Nepal Talent Management Agency. In an event held on Thursday in Kathmandu, the company along with its logo was officially launched. The agency will be currently representing Nischal Basnet, Dayahang Rai, Saugat Malla and Shristi Shrestha. All of them except Malla who was shooting for a film, were present in the event and signed the agreements with the agency.

Shree Gurung, the chairman of the agency and also a filmmaker himself, had this idea of starting this agency for quite some years; which finally has taken shape now. The firm will be handling all the current and upcoming professional projects for its clients. It will also be scheduling shoots, events, interviews and other projects of the clients more efficiently. In short, the primary focus of the agency will be to manage the professional load of the clients in such a systematic way that along with their professional lives, they will be able to enjoy their personal space more.
