Sanil Chitrakar, a Kathmandu born businessman, who currently runs a restaurant in Yokohama, is an insanely talented artist as well. The 34-year-old is a self-taught artist who has been drawing and sketching since childhood. He has so far made colored pencil drawings of various international and Nepali stars. Take a look.
On January 31st, Sanil shared the colored pencil drawing of Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho.
Wow! Isn’t it just spectacular?
The next day, he also posted the time lapse video of how he made the drawing. And guess what? The 36-year old footballer not only saw the video but also posted it from his official Facebook page. Here.
He wrote, “Impressionante essa arte que o SanilArtist fez. Muito obrigado parceiro! #RonaldinhoArt” which translates, “An impressive art by SanilArtist. Thank you very much partner.”
Obviously, it was like a ‘dream come true’ moment for Sanil who had spent over 25 hours to finish the artwork of one of his favorite footballers. “I’m speechless. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me. As a football fan, a Barcelona fan, a Ronaldinho fan; this is the best moment of my life. I take it as a reward for all of my hardwork that I put into my drawings. It means a lot for me that Ronaldinho himself shared my work,” an excited Sanil told NeoStuffs over the phone.
The video currently has over 1.2 million views in less than three hours. Amazing!
You can find Sanil on Facebook as SanilArtist and on Instagram as @theemptyhead.
