We’ve seen him perform ‘Timi Aaunu Remake’, ‘Bichod’ and ‘Hami Ek Hami Nepali’ so far. A graphic designer by profession, he has also been a rapper for almost a decade but still has to make it big. He hails from Dharan and wishes to the bring his city to the map of  Nepali rap scene. You guessed it, we’re talking about Aditya Lakhey AD. The rapper currently based in Kathmandu is all set to release his debut studio album titled ‘Prayatna’. “As I’ve been trying hard since long to make myself a name in the Nepali HipHop music, I decided to dedicate my debut album to my struggles so far and hence named it Praytna,” he told NeoStuffs.

The first music video from the album has been recently released. The song titled ‘Mero Maya’ is written, composed and sung by Aditya himself. The love song that also features Brijesh Shrestha on vocals has Sonam Pakhrin on guitars and the beat is produced by FO11 Records. The music video that has Sikshya Shakya along with the rapper is filmed in Pokhara and is shot, edited and directed by Mahen Shrestha.

The music video is pretty good and the real-life couple looks beautiful together on screen. Aditya and Sikshya have been in a relationship for a year now and he had actually proposed her with this song as a present. “She is the reason I’ve been able to come up with an album. I had lost hope but it’s her who encouraged me to continue making music. I am blessed to have her in my life,” Aditya further said. With the positive responses he has been receiving for the song, he is planning to release his next music video soon.
