Embassy of India In Poland Makes A Horrible Mistake, ‘Moves’ Annapurna Range To India

We recently came across a picture that almost shocked us. It was all the way from Warsaw, Poland. The picture taken at the Embassy of India in the Polish capital has Mr. Ajay Bisaria (right), the Ambassador of India to the Republic of Poland, in front of the embassy. A billboard with a beautiful picture of the Himalayas can be seen behind them with the text written on it that reads ‘Incredible India’, (styled as Incredıble !ndıa) that is the name of an international marketing campaign by the Government of India to promote tourism in India to an audience of global appeal. Everything looks so amazing until you realize that it’s actually the Annapurna Mountain Range of Nepal, and the picture is taken in Kaski.

Rajesh Shrestha, a Kathmandu resident who is currently on a tour around Europe, clicked the following picture on Monday.

Talking to NeoStuffs from Warsaw, Shrestha said, “I was just travelling around Warsaw when I noticed this billboard. I wanted to tell them about the mistake but for some reason, the embassy was closed.”

It hasn’t been long since the controversy over Miss Earth India 2015 Aaital Khosla’s introduction video that had all the places from Nepal, intended to be shown as India (Read HERE). And now with this one, the internet is sure to get interesting for quite some time.

We never came to know that the ‘Make In India’ campaign has recently been changed to ‘Fake In India’. Just saying!

Mr. Bisaria can be found on Twitter as @Ajaybis.
