Australia based Nepali actor and filmmaker, Rajeev Bhusal, has been confirmed to play one of the lead roles in upcoming American sitcom titled ‘Dating With Corey’. The 27-year old actor who has so far worked in an Australian documentary film titled ‘Make A Wish Australia’, two English short films, couple of Nepali short films and four music videos; will be seen playing the character of Raj, a happy-go-lucky guy who wants to but finds it hard to interact with ladies and so takes classes from a dating coach named Corey who happens to be the worst in Los Angeles.
The series directed by James Pratt who also plays the title character of Corey and has been active in film-making in Australia and Los Angeles; also stars Australian actress Bec Glasscock, Amercian actor Maurice Scott, Australian actress Kya Steward and Canadian actress Tori Browning. The 12-episode series that is scheduled to air later this year is currently being shot around Bondi Beach in Sydney.
Talking with NeoStuffs from Sydney, Rajeev said, “I feel honored to be part of this comic series and I have been doing my best to make a good presence on screen. Apart from acting, I am also working behind the camera which has always been my passion.” After finishing his studies in film-making from Metro Screen in Australia, he is currently taking acting classes at Actro Centre Australia. Talking about his future plans, “I would love to be a part of Nepalese film industry and give 100% of whatever skills and experiences I’ve gained so far”, he further added.
