Miss Nepal 2002 Malvika Subba took to her Instagram handle on Monday to announce the birth of her first child. The baby boy who has been named Zayir Rio Subba Shrestha was born on April 14th. Explaining the meaning of his name, she wrote, “Zayir means roaring lion and is the opposite of Riyaz; and Rio is dedicated to my father who was known as Kid Rio in his glorious boxing days”

Malvika Subba and Reeyaz Shrestha have been married for four years. The two had first met in USA in 2009 during an event. It was after he returned to Nepal in 2010, they started talking to each other and soon they became best friends. The friendship gradually turned into love; and it was 2012, when the two tied the knot.
