‘Women In Concert – Talent Hunt’ Announces Kathmandu Audition Dates

Nirbhaya Foundation has been giving young and aspiring singers and musicians a great platform with its annual event ‘Women In Concert’. The organization assists these artists not only with grooming but also gives them a platform to perform along with some of the biggest names in Nepalese music industry, in front of thousands of audience. The event is back with a bang and this time it is bigger than ever with some of the most amazing prizes for the three winners. The audition in Kathmandu is scheduled on Saturday, January 23rd at Club 25 Hours (Tangalwoods) from 11 AM to 5 PM. The registration forms can be bought for Rs. 100 and filled at the venue on the same day. The participants must be 16 or above and must perform a Nepali song at the audition. 8 finalists will be chosen from the Kathmandu auditions who will be trained and groomed throughout February. They will also be performing at various venues and the backing band will be provided if they do not have their own bands. A YouTube competition will also be running in the meantime and the participant with the most views on their video will be granted a 20 mark advantage from the 100 that they will be judged on. The grand finale will be held on March 8th, International Women’s Day when all the eight finalists will be sharing the stage with some of the most prominent musical personalities. The winner will get prizes worth Rs. 200,000 which includes a song recording along with a music video, a cash prize and an electric guitar; and most importantly, she will be managed by Nirbhaya Foundation throughout the year so that she can get a foothold in the music industry. The first runner up will get an opportunity to record a song with promotional benefits and an acoustic guitar. And the second runner up will have a song recorded and promoted by Women in Concert.
