As soon as the teaser of the upcoming film ‘Prem Geet’ was released online, the film has become the talk of the town. The film produced by Santosh Sen under the banner of Aasusen Films is directed by Sudarshan Thapa. The beautiful soundtracks of the film are already being hummed by music lovers. Among other things, the reason film is getting all the attention is also because of the promising lead pair of Pradeep Khadka and Pooja Sharma.
Prem Geet is the second film of Pradeep Khadka as an actor, who is also a producer and owns a production house called Pradeep Media Pvt. Ltd. He debuted with his home production’s film titled ‘Escape’ earlier this year, for which he has been nominated for the Best Debutant Actor at LG Cine Award 2072, which is yet to take place. The 23 year old who doesn’t come from a family with any kind of background of films or media, had entered the industry as a producer with ‘Thulo Maanche’ in 2013 with his production house which was registered in 2011.
Khadka who was born in Kusunti, Lalitpur holds an MBA degree and is equally active in social activities with his involvement in an NGO called Mission to Relief Nation Nepal (MIRENN) as the Vice President. “I want to be a good filmmaker and establish my banner as one of the finest in Nepal. No matter if I am on front or behind the camera, I want to create films which are not only made for entertainment but have impact on the society as well“, he told NeoStuffs. “Along with my career in cinema, I would also be actively participating in social initiatives for good causes as before being a good actor or film-maker, I want to become a good citizen of this nation“, he further adds.
‘Prem Geet’; which also stars Saroj Khanal, Rupa Rana, Laxmi Giri and Rajaram Poudel; is scheduled to hit the theaters on Valentines 2016. Watch the teaser below.
