Kapil Sharma Apologizes to Nepali People


KATHMANDU, NOV 18: The Indian comedy king Kapil Sharma is one of those celebrities who always tries to keep his image clear and avoid controversies but a statement of his in a show in Sydney did catch him in a controversy. A video of his show in Australia was recently uploaded on Youtube and one of his statements which said that the Mt. Everest lies in India was not liked by the Nepalese people. They took help of the various social networking platforms to show their disagreement and disappointment on his statement.

The stand-up comedian had to tweet today and apologize to the Nepalese people after getting all the negative reactions from them. Two of his back-to-back tweets stated:

Here is the video of his performance in Sydney that was held in November 2013. The controversial statement is made at 6:12.

He has to perform in the Nepali capital Kathmandu next month on December 13th at Dashrath Stadium.
