Cell Phone Nepali Short Film Competition


Do you love shooting videos with your phone? Do you think you have the ability to make a short film that people would like to watch? If yes, ‘Drishyansha’ is waiting for you.

‘Drishyansha’, a Nationwide Cellphone Nepali Short Film Competition is organized by Sarwanam Theatre and 360 Degree Mountain Films and supported by Neo.

To take part in the competition, you have to make a short fiction Nepali film using your cell phone which should not be of more than 3 minutes and submit the DVD at Sarwanam Theatre, Kalikasthan, Kathmandu along with the detail of cellphone you used to shoot the film. Film shot with any other equipment than cellphone will be disqualified.

The top 10 films will be showcased in a grand event amidst media personalities and distinguished personalities from various sectors of Nepal. The winner will get a Dell laptop along with ‘Neo Drishyansha’ award statuette and a 3 months theatre training from Sarwanam Theatre. The 1st and 2nd runner ups will get a 20 inch Neo tablet along with a ‘Neo Drishyansha’ award statuette and a 3 months theatre training from Sarwanam Theatre.

The panel of jury consists of the renowned theatre personality Ashesh Malla; internationally acclaimed film maker and screen writer Abinash Bikram Shah; popular film maker, music video director and singer Asif Shah; and writer, media personality and art critic Ful Man Bal.
