Micromax, the 2nd largest smartphone company in India, has today introduced two Windows Phone 8.1 smartphones for the Indian market.
They are Canvas Win W121 and Win W092 which are priced at Rs 9,500 INR and tRs 6,500 INR, which makes Micromax the cheapest Windows Phone maker beating the record of Nokia Lumia 520.
Canvas W121 is a 5-inch device with 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera, 8 GB built in storage with expandable upto 32 GB,1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad core processor, 1 GB RAM and 2000 mAh battery. It is a dual sim phone which is very popular in Indian market.
Canvas W092 is a 4-inch device with 5 megapixel rear and 0.3 megapixel front camera.All other features are similar to the Canvas W121.
These phones will be available in the market from July. At this price and these specs, these sets may attract many people in Indian subcontinent. But Micromax doesn’t have very good reputation with their hardware in the Android phones. So we need to wait and watch if they prove us wrong this time or not.
