Rockheads Nepal Took 2 Years to Release a New Song & It’s Worth all the Wait!

If you still listen to ‘Ranga’ every once in a while; you, my friend — you have an amazing taste in music.

Having released that beauty of a song two years back, Rockheads Nepal kept us waiting forever (at least, that’s what it felt like) but now, finally, after all these years (two to be specific), the four-piece band are back!!

I feel you, Oprah. I do.

So the boys have released a new song titled ‘Hajar Janma’ and man, what a song it is. Jointly written by Shaurav Bhattarai (of Kush and Kaagaz bands) and Rockheads vocalist Sanjay Aryal, the song is mixed and mastered by another OG — Diwas Gurung. I am telling you, this guy is associated with at least 80 percent of the songs you love.

The song is released with a simple yet beautiful music video that is directed by Ankit Singh. Shot by Saman Maharjan and Pasang Sherpa, the video starring Rajita Parajuli and Rajat Rai Kiratee is edited by Bikesh Magar.

Rockheads Nepal are Sanjay Aryal on vocals and bass, Samyak Pakhrin Lama on drums and percussion, Ridesh Pakhrin Tamang on guitars, and Dawa Sherpa on keyboard and synth.

Here, enjoy this beauty.

While the band started making waves on YouTube in 2020s, with a whopping 12 million views on their 2021 hit ‘Ranga’, but Rockheads shouldn’t be mistaken for a new band. They have been around since 2010. Yeah! They were even part of a singing talent hunt ‘Pepsi Voice of Nepal‘, powered by MTV Indies (of MTV India) in 2014 where they were among the ten finalists. Judged by Nima Rumba, Abhaya Subba and Raghu Dixit, the competition had two winners – Deeksha & Himal and Sakchyam.

There have been some changes in the band since then but they have always remained kickass and awesome. Just check this performance out. No offense to the winners (or the judges) at all, but this band should have totally won that talent hunt (completely personal opinion).

Anyway, good to see them still rocking!
