Underside’s New Music Video is Disturbing But You Need to Watch It

Underside and Fuzz Factory Productions: Name a more iconic duo. I’ll wait.

Right from the beginning – since Underside’s first official music video – FFP folks have always made sure the metal band’s awesome tracks have equally astonishing music videos. And here, they are at it again.

Earlier today, May 7th, the metal band from Nepal premiered the music video for their latest track called ‘Gadhimai’. As the title suggests, the song’s about the infamous sacrificial ceremony that has been taking place at the Gadhimai Temple in Bara for the last three centuries. The event that takes place every five years involves mass animal slaughter.

Last held in 2014, the festival is scheduled to take place later this year. The good thing is, animal sacrifice has been banned at the festival.

“The Gadhimai Temple Trust hereby declares our formal decision to end animal sacrifice. With your help, we can ensure Gadhimai 2019 is free from bloodshed. Moreover, we can ensure Gadhimai 2019 is a momentous celebration of life.”, the trust had announced in 2015. And we really hope the festival this year goes the way the temple trust wants it to go, without taking any life.

Anyway, back to the song: Written and performed by Underside, the track is mixed and mastered by Jens Borgen. The music video shot by Prasiit Sthapit is directed and edited by Himal Thapa.

This one sure is one of the finest works of 2019 so far. Here:
