Jatayu Release Their First Cover of a K-Pop Hit, BTS’ ‘Fake Love’

Jatayu is a band that has been doing some pretty dope covers lately. Formed in Kathmandu, the band first got the attention they deserve when they put out the cover of DJ Snake’s ‘Let Me Love You‘ in March last year. They have since then released a number of other covers including Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ – their most popular work so far with over 1.8 million views on YouTube.

The band’s latest release is a cover of a popular K-Pop hit. With Palsang Lama on vocals, Niran Dangol on sitar and guitar, Nikesh Maharjan on flute, Abin Shakya on keys and launchpad and Nhuchhe Munikar on tabla; they have dropped their rendition of BTS’ ‘Fake Love’. Considered as one of the most popular boy bands in the world, the K-Pop group had released the song from their third studio album ‘Love Yourself: Tear’ in May this year.

Jatayu have done a pretty good job here; but we’re still waiting for them to release their original single. Because with the kind of talent they have, they can actually make it big.

Anyway, this track is produced and arranged by Abin Shakya and Niran Dangol, and the video is a work of Nikesh Kakshapati and Amit Dangol. Here, enjoy this beautiful work.

Jatayu will be performing live at Club Deja Vu in Kathmandu on August 3rd. Details HERE.
