Sandeep Lamichhane Is Finally Making His IPL Debut Tonight

It’s confirmed, Sandeep Lamicchane is finally making his IPL debut tonight. The 17-year-old Nepali bowler is in the playing XI against Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Although Delhi Daredevils (DD) have already been eliminated after the loss to Sunrisers Hyderbad; this is pretty much the moment that every Nepal cricket fan has been looking forward to ever since Lamichhane became the first Nepali player to get an IPL contract earlier this year in January.

With this, Lamichhane has created history to become the first ever cricketer from Nepal to play in the Indian Premiere League.

As the team got out of the contention for playoffs, DD bowling coach James Hopes had hinted at giving a chance to Sandeep Lamicchane and Junior Dala. “We now need to see the big picture. What does our roster look like for next year, those things will start to be spoken about now? These next three games are a good opportunity to possibly see some of these guys, especially Junior (Dala) and Sandeep (Lamichhane), in action.” he had said in the post match presentation.

The match has just started. Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the toss and elected to bowl against Delhi Daredevils .

This is going to be a big night for Lamichhane and the Nepali cricket fans.
