Nepal’s Anisha Khadka Wins Big In World Kun Khmer Championship


Nepali martial artist Anisha Khadka won big in the 1st International Kun Khmer Competition in Cambodia, organized by Kun Khmer International Federation.

The 23-year-old defeated Puth Thavy of Cambodia to become the champion in the 67 KG Women Semi-Professional category on December 10 at the National Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.

This is a huge victory for Nepal as Anisha defeated a Cambodian fighter in the sport originated and practiced in her country. Kun Khmer, also known as Pradal Serey, is Cambodia’s ancient martial art that utilizes fists, feet, knees and elbows.

Earlier this year in March, Anisha had won a gold in the amateur category in the 14th WMF World Championship 2017, organized by World Muay Thai Federation in Thailand.
