Actor and singer Andy Lau is currently in Nepal. According to reports, the 55-year-old Hong Kong superstar was recently spotted at Swayambu in Kathmandu. Apparently, he is here to pray for good health.
The ‘A Fighter’s Blues’ actor who holds a Guinness World Record for the ‘Most Awards Won by a Cantopop Male Artist’ had got injured in January this year after he fell off a horse while filming a commercial in Thailand. He had sustained bone fractures and injured his spine that resulted in spending almost two months recuperating in hospital. He had cancelled all his work schedule and concerts. But as he is recovering smoothly now, his new concert tour in China was recently announced. Looks like he wanted to pray for health before resuming his regular schedule which brought him to Kathmandu with his wife Carol Chu.
Andy and Carol are known to be pious Buddhists. Carol had enlisted the help of 148 monks in Taiwan to pray for 53 days straight in hopes that Andy will recover soon, when he was hospitalised earlier this year.
The couple’s further plans in Nepal are not known.
