Photographs Of Couple That Tied The Knot On Mt. Everest Will Leave You In Awe

Getting married with the person that you love the most in the entire world would be a dream come true for any person; and it would make them feel like on top of the world. But the couple we are talking about here didn’t only ‘feel’ like on top of the world but literally were ‘on top of the world’ when they tied the knot.

35-year old James Sissom and 32-year old Ashley Schmieder recently got married at Mount Everest Base Camp. According to a report by Daily Mail, the couple from California spent a year planning the trip, braved freezing tempratures, gruelling terrain and altitude sickness on their way to Everest Base Camp, where they exchanged vows at 17,000 ft above sea level.

The two spent months training for the three-week trek before setting off. They were accompanied by a specialist wedding photographer Charleton Churchill who did a spectacular job as the pictures are nothing but extraordinary.

“After much deliberation, we decided a traditional wedding was not the right fit for us. As much as we would have loved to share our special day with our family and friends, we were both drawn to the idea of eloping during an incredible vacation”, Ashley told Daily Mail.

“We both are avid lovers of the outdoors and had experience at altitude up to 14,000 feet, but we knew the three-week Everest Base Camp trek would be far more physically and mentally demanding than anything we’ve exprerienced.”

Some serious relationship goals, wedding goals, adventure goals and life goals right there!

Happy married life, James and Ashley.
