Melbourne Is All Set To Go ‘Momolicious’ This Month

Melbourne, March, Momo and Music – ‘M Festival’ seems to have everything sorted for you for the next Sunday if you live in this beautiful Australian city. The free event organized by Solangture will have a number of varieties of momos served from over a dozen of stalls for its visitors to satisfy their cravings. Apart from the delicious momos and foods, the event will also have a lot of other attractions and one of them being world music as a number of bands from various backgrounds have been roped in to perform. Popular folk instrumental band, Kutumba, too will be spreading the magic of pure Nepali music at the event that will take place at Coburg Cycling Velodrome in Coburg, Vicotria on March 26th. The music lineup also has Jakubi, Big Words, Mystic, Eastern Seaboard Electric Soul Ensemble and Edd Fisher among others.

The funds collected from the event will go towards NRNA’s Earthquake Reconstruction Project to build 1000 homes for the victims of 2015 Nepal earthquake in Gorkha (find the details of the project HERE).

The organizers have also organized a cooking competition called Melbourne Momo Masterchef; and six participants were part of a preliminary round. Three of them would be the finalists who would be competing for the title at the main event.
