1-Day Nepali Film Festival To Be Held In Bangalore In February


A 1-day Nepali film festival is to be soon held in Bangalore, India. The event organized by Nepalese In Bangalore along with Highlights Nepal is scheduled to be held on February 12th between 10 AM to 7 PM. Karma, Keki Adhikari and Asif Shah starrer ‘Love Sasha’, directed by Prachanda Man Shrestha; Min Bahadur Bham’s ‘Kalo Pothi’ which was the winner of Best Film at Venice International Film Festival, Critics Week in 2015; and Pradeep Bhattarai’s directorial ‘Jatra’ starring Rabindra Singh Baniya, Bipin Karki, Rabindra Jha, Barsha Raut and Prechya Bajracharya; will be screened at Acharya College in Hessaraghatta.

Along with the screenings of these three Nepali films, the event sponsored by Khanal Foods, Nepali Chulo and Nepali Momo will also have some stalls with Nepali foods and products. One will have to pay INR 250 to watch a film. The couples who intend to watch ‘Love Sasha’ will receive a special Valentine’s Day discount . The proceeds from the event will be deposited as a trust for the students welfare.

Along with the Nepalese living in and around Bangalore; the organizers expect the presence of people from Sikkim, Darjeeling, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Bhutan living in the city in the event.
