‘Wild Ripperz’ & ‘Sushant Khatri’ To Represent Nepal At Star Plus Dance Reality Show ‘Dance+ 2’

[Update: The Wild Ripperz Crew and Sushant Khatri both have made it to the Top 12 in the episode that aired on Star Plus on Saturday, July 10.]

The second season of India’s one of the most prestigious dance reality shows, ‘Dance+’, premieres tonight on Star Plus. And this time around, there are two dancers (a solo dancer and a dance crew) from Nepal who are competing with some of India’s finest dancers on the show. The good thing is, both of them have got through the auditions (oops! sorry for the spoiler).

The Wild Ripperz Crew consists of nine awesome dancers from Kathmandu, Dhangadhi and Butwal. The HipHop dance crew that has Buddha Lama (21), Ron Singh (24), Kiran Thapa (23), Surain Rai (20), Santosh Darji (21), Saul James Bodi (23), Sagar rai (21), Suman Tamang (21) and Suraj Thapa Magar (19) were quite a big name in the hiphop dance scene in Kathmandu where they won Dell Dance Competition 2012 and All Nepal Urban Street Dance Competition 2013 before moving to Mumbai in search of a bigger platform where they have won over 20 local dance competitions in a period of two years, including the titles of Channel V All India VFest 2015, UDMS Mumbai Championship 2014, NIMS Championship 2014, Pune Fest 2014 and India’s Best Dance Crew 2016, among many others. This crew is definitely going to be one of the topmost contenders for the title this year. Talking exclusively to NeoStuffs from Mumbai, the crew’s frontman Buddha said, “We are thrilled to be a part of this prestigious show and we will definitely give our best to prove that Nepalese dancers are no less than any international dancers. We are hopeful that we will have support from all the Nepalese people from around the world. We need your blessings to win this competition and we seek your love.”

Watch a performance from them here.

On the other hand, Sushant Khatri, too has already earned quite a good name not only in Nepal but in India as well. After bagging the Top 14 position at Star Plus’ dancing reality show India’s Dancing Superstar in 2013, he has been performing at various events and shows across the two countries. He has also won a lot of dance competitions lately. He too is sure to rock the stage and prove that he is one of the strongest contenders this season.

Watch him perform.

It’s a good thing that two different crews will be representing Nepal this year as it will increase the probability of coming the trophy home but having said that, we also can’t deny the fact that it might also confuse the audiences and the votes may get divided when the two reach the round when the the public voting is opened. Anyways, our support is with both of them. May the best one win. Make us proud, guys. Show them what we got!

The dancers will be judged by Remo D’souza, India’s one of the finest choreographers. The show hosted by Raghav Juyal, will be telecast every Saturday and Sunday on Star Plus at 8:15 PM (NST).
