Archana Paneru Starrer ‘Chhesko’ Gets Pirated Even Before A Week Of Its Release

Nepali film-makers have a lot of challenges with making their films and getting them released. Right from the start, their struggles start and they don’t end even after the release of the film. With a very limited budget and resources, they have to compete with international films at the box office. But the newest and the toughest challenge that has presently been bothering Nepali film industry is piracy. Some of the most recent films such as Pashupati Prasad, Dreams, Prem Geet and Kabaddi Kabaddi that were doing great business not only in Nepal but overseas as well were badly affected once their pirated copies hit the internet. The piracy game has risen to a whole new level with the latest victim. Within the couple of days of its release, ‘Chhesko’ has been pirated. A copy of the film that was released last Friday on June 3rd has been making rounds on the internet. The film starring Rajan Karki and Archana Paneru is produced by Suraj Pradhan and directed by Suresh Thapa.

Our film industry is currently witnessing some of the best days of its existence with some very powerful and meaningful films (this one doesn’t fall in this category) winning the hearts of the audience. It’s quite unfortunate to see how piracy is ruining it all and if some major steps are not taken, the end of a good era of Nepali cinema is not very far.

Here’s the trailer of ‘Chhesko’ if you don’t know about the film yet.
