Today, we have a new entry and it’s none other than, let us just sing it for you…

“Eklo jivanma kewal saath khojethe, mann ka kura sunauna timilai rojethe……”

Dang! Don’t we all just love this number? Released in 2004, ‘Adhuro Prem’ from Axix Band’s debut album titled ‘Black n White’ is the most popular and loved song by the band so far. After 10 years of its release, a sequel titled ‘Mero Prem (Adhuro Prem 2)’ was released in 2014. Watch it HERE.

To talk about ‘Adhuro Prem’, we have the band’s lead vocalist Sandeep Biswakarma who is currently based in the UK. Here’s how he remembers the song.

“Adhuro Prem is and will always be the most special song for me. This song played a huge role and helped us make a good name in the music industry. Talking about how we started; we had won a band competition and as the prize, we got the opportunity to record the song. We were pretty confident that people would like it as we had already won five different band competitions where we had performed this very song. Even before recording the song, it had got so much popular that we were even restricted to perform it in few competitions as our competitors had complained to the organizers that it won’t be fair for them if we play this song as it’s pretty sure we would win. After the song was recorded, it was the idea of Puja Gurung (Director) and Sristi Gahatraj (Video Editor) to make a music video for this song. Once the video was out and aired on various television channels, the responses we received were way more amazing than we had ever thought. Even today whenever I listen to this song, it takes me back to the days when we were an unknown and struggling band; and it makes me happy to think that we’ve come a long way.”

Well, that was Sandeep Biswakarma talking about his memories with the song. Let us know what your memories with the song are. Do comment below. For now, here’s the song.
