Recalling ’90s Grunge Era: A Tribute Concert In Honor Of The Greatest Grunge Bands

Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, Alice In Chains and Stone Temple Pilots are considered as the greatest grunge bands of all time. The ’90s witnessed some of the most spectacular rock music because of them. Even though the genre faded by the late ’90s, their influence continues to affect modern rock music.

A tribute concert has been organized on Saturday, February 20th at Purple Haze in Thamel in honor of these legendary bands. All Stars featuring Ashok Sen, Rajiv Khadka, Abhishek Rai, Pranay Subba and Gautam Tandukar would be playing Pearl Jam numbers; Sound Chains Pilot featuring Avishek KC, Abhishek S Mishra, Sarad Shrestha, Sunny Manandhar, Rozet Gurung and George Limbu  will be covering the songs of Sound Garden, Alice in Chains and Stone Temple Pilots. In the same way, Newaz featuring Satish Sthapit, Deepak Batra, Roshan Kansakar and Prajol Kansakar will be playing Nirvana’s songs in the concert scheduled to start at 2 PM. The early bird tickets are priced at Rs. 300 and you will have to pay Rs. 500 for one at the door.

The even organized by Sound Factory Events is definitely going to be one of the sickest rock concerts you will witness this year. If you are into rock, you just can’t afford to miss the event. See the poster below for more details.
