Nepalese Doctor Announces Free Service to Cricketers For Lifetime If Team Defeats India

Nepal had a victorious opening at ICC Under 19 World Cup with a spectacular win over New Zealand on Thursday. The Nepalese side, who won the qualifiers in Malaysia last year to return to the World Cup after missing the previous tournament in 2014, bowled out the Kiwis for 206 after they were set a 239-run target. The team is to face Ireland on Saturday and then play against India on Monday. Along with the players, the Nepalese cricket fans too are all looking forward to the upcoming matches and it’s quite obvious that they are waiting for the match against India even more excitedly.

For the Nepalese fans who have been choked by the undeclared economical blockade imposed by India for over four months now, the match is as hyped as any India vs Pakistan game for the fans of either of the countries. The Nepalese social media is currently all about the clash on Monday with most of the people declaring it even more important than the final match. For them, it won’t matter if Nepal doesn’t win the tournament but they wish to see the team defeating India. The significance of the game for the Nepalese fans can also be easily speculated by the announcement of a doctor based in Kathmandu who has resolved to offer free service to all the players for lifetime if they defeat India. Dr Sudhamsu KC, Chief Consultant at Center for Liver Disease, took to his twitter handle for the announcement on Thursday evening.
