Nepal Beat Ireland to Qualify For 2016 ICC Under-19 World Cup


KUALA LUMPUR, OCT 22: Nepal cricket team have done it again and this time around, it’s the Under-19 squad who have taken Nepal to the ICC world Cup. The big news is from Malaysia where Nepal U-19 cricket team have defeated Ireland to qualify for the 2016 ICC Under-19 World Cup to be held in Bangladesh from January 22 to February 14.

In a very interesting match today, Nepal defeated Ireland by 3 wickets. After batting first, Ireland had given Nepal a target of 185 runs. LN Rajbanshi, Aarif Sheikh and DS Airee took 4, 3 and 2 wickets for Nepal respectively. With the highest score of 47 from Sunil Dhamala, Nepal was able to chase the score in 46.2 overs with three wickets in hand.

This was the final match of the 2015 ICC Under-19 World Cup Qualifier cricket tournament played in Malaysia from 14 to 22 October 2015. This is definitely the best gift for all the Nepalese who are celebrating their most auspicious festival ‘Dashain’ today.
