The above video of a kid doing everything he could to save a goat from getting sacrificed at a temple in Nepal is going viral on social media. The video originally posted by a popular Facebook page – ‘Best Video You Will See‘, has been viewed more than 2.2M times in less than 24 hours. The caption of the video read:
“Can one boy’s compassion change ages of old habits?
In Nepal, when people go to Temple, some of them take a goat or chicken to sacrifice. This was Adrian’s first visit to Nepal and first visit to a Temple. When Adrian accidentally spotted a goat being slaughtered, he realized his new animal friend was next in line. Watch what happened next.”
So what is it that makes this video so special? The answer is simple – it’s the kid’s love and compassion towards the animal. Wouldn’t it be amazing if the adults could actualy learn something from Adrian? It seems unfair that we complain and protest against the Yulin Festival in China when similar activities are practised in Nepal almost every single day.
What would you tell him if he was your child – that he has comitted a sin by protecting an animal which needed to be sacrificed to the God or that you are proud of him for what he did? Think well, and may be apply the same in your own life as well.
