Nepali app ‘Yellow Nepal’ makes it to the finals in Google’s competition


The latest buzz in the field of Nepali technology is that the app ‘Yellow Nepal’ has made it to the finals of Google’s international competition ‘Google Business Groups’ (GBG).

The competition named GBG Stories Contest with the tagline “share your story and inspire others” was started on June 24th with the collection of submissions from hundreds of participants from more than fifty countries. 36 of them were shortlisted and now the top 9 of them have made it to the finals. Top 3 will be declared as the winners based on public voting and each one of them will recieve a cash prize of $5000 to start their own business. Voting will be closed on 1st of December and the winners will be announced on the 15th.

The competition was open for the individuals or companies that have used any service of google to affect the lives of the people in some positive way.

‘Yellow Nepal’ app was created by Manisha Karmacharya and Anish Shrestha; and helps you find the places you are looking for in a very efficient and easy way.
