MUMBAI, NOV 12, 2014: Aastha Pokharel will be competing in yet another international model hunt reality television show – ‘Kingfisher Supermodels 2’.
The show that started to air on television from 8th November, will feature a series of 13 episodes. She will be competing with 9 other models to win the show and be the face of Kingfisher calender along with various other opportunities.
The popular model from Kathmandu who stands 5ft 9 1/2 inches tall had taken part in ‘Asia’s Next Top Model’ held in Singapore in 2012 and had succeeded in finishing in Top 5. She later took part in Miss Nepal pageant in 2014 and stood 3rd Runner Up.
The show will be hosted and mentored by Bollywood actress and former Miss India Neha Dhupia. Her advice for the contestants is, “They have really large number of people watching them. The audience and industry veterans from across the country and the world are noticing them. They should remember that at the end of the day it is a competition, so they have to try and make it a healthy one.
Having the right attitude is most important. There are various tasks that the supermodels have to go through from balancing on a bar to hanging off ropes, they have to do it all.”
Earlier, the show was called ‘Hunt for Kingfisher Calender Girl’, and it gave a jump start to many popular faces like Angela Johnson, Himarsha Venkatswamy, Ketholeno Kense and Nathalia Kaur in the Indian fashion world. But it was renamed last year.
The show will be aired every Saturday and Sunday at 10 PM on NDTV Good Times.
