Who nominated Dr. Baburam Bhattarai For the Ice Bucket Challenge?

The Ice Bucket Challenge is an activity which involves dumping a bucket of ice water on one’s head to promote awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations to research . No matter how childish it may seem, it has proved to be the most intelligent and successful fundraising activity ever. Since the ALS Association began tracking the campaign’s progress on July 29, it has raised more than $53.3 million from 1.1 million new donors in what is one of the most viral philanthropic social media campaigns in history.

When the whole world is going crazy over the Ice Bucket Challenge, how could Nepal stay behind. It’s going viral here as well and one of the most recent candidates to be nominated for the challenge is former Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai. He has been nominated by the popular television presenter Rabi Lamichhane who holds the world record for hosting the longest-ever television talk show which was broadcasted in News24 Television in April 2013.

The big question is, will Dr. Bhattarai accept the challenge? And if he does, who would be the three people to be nominated by him? We still have to see that. In the meantime, watch the Ice Bucket Challenge video of Rabi Lamichhane:

We still have to see that. Well, we have a question for our readers as well. Wouldn’t it be great if Nepalese people use the Ice Bucket Challenge campaign to raise funds to support the victims of floods and landslides? Please do comment what you feel about it.
