Miss Nepal pageant is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Back in 1994, Ruby Thapa had won the title and had become the first ever Miss Nepal.

The organizers of the pageant, The Hidden Treasure, hosted a celebration dinner at Hotel Radisson on Sunday. Most of the Miss Nepal’s and all the other people associated with the pageant were present at the event. Mr. Gopal Sundar Lal Kashapati, Chairman of The Hidden Treasure, shared his experience so far with the pageant. He shared how difficult it was to organize the pageant at certain times when there were protests against it. He expressed his happiness that the pageant has managed to establish itself in the society.

All the guests enjoyed some beautiful performances by the Miss Nepal’s. Miss Nepal (1994) Ruby Rana performed a Ganesh Bandana dance peace; Miss Nepal (2014) Subin Limbu sang a song and the winner of Talent Round in Miss Nepal 2011 Bishnu Chemjong sang the National Anthem.
